Helen Weinstein is the Artistic Director for Cambridge Holocaust Memorial Day on behalf of Cambrige City Coundil, and we are working with schools and community choirs to perform at the Cambridge Civic Commemoration on Sunday 26th January 2020 to be held at Cambridge Corn Exchange, 3pm to 4.30pm. All are Welcome!

Historyworks has commissioned our Aritst in Residence, the famous children's poet, Michael Rosen, to write new poems for marking Holocaust Memorial Day on our national theme for 2020,  Stand Together, Strong Together.  We have the Cambridge Composer, Bethany Kirby setting these to uplifting melodies, which choral music will be performed by school choirs and community choirs.

The lyrics and sound files are available for the start of the January term.  We have recorded the melodies in parts and provided the lyrics online so that individuals and groups can learn the pieces easily. Note, these are drafts to help beginner singers and not professional recordings to be broadcast!  We have also provided scores which you can freely download. Please choir leaders and singers DO use the Historyworks commissioned pieces for your community and school assemblies nd faith groups, because ALL are commissioned as creative commons to share!
